Lake Mulwala is OK without being spectacular. Surface fishing has been great. If you can strike the right night casting can be pretty productive in the shallows with spinnerbaits, and smaller hard bodies if you get the right day. There have been a couple of big fish reported in the past week or so.
The upper Murray is sure to be a busy place this weekend with the Cudgewa Classic on. As long as they don’t jump the river up, it should be great.
Kel Smith and Pete Knorpp caught quite a few late last week, the best being 960mm, while Nicko Sedgwick and mate Nick Brockley did the same – Brockley nailing a 103cm job on a wobbly spinnerbait. Catch you next week.
