Think Paul Kelly, The Kentucky Headhunters, The Mavericks, Marty Stuart, Dale Watson, John Fogarty and The Eagles blended together and you might get the picture of The Prairie Oysters sound.
With three albums, the band has performed a mix of original songs and covers across Australia from festivals such as Tamworth, pubs and clubs around the country to tiny outback communities in NSW and Queensland.
The constant touring has built up a diverse audience ranging from country music festival crowds, inner city bar dwellers, to screaming BnS and Ute Muster crowds.
