After a four-year hiatus, the neighbouring competitions will do battle on the same day the Ovens and Murray meet Goulburn Valley at John Flower Oval.
The Hume league was trounced by the TDFL when they last met at Albury Sportsground in 2013 and is keen to redeem itself.
Former Kiewa-Sandy Creek premiership mentor Ryan Richardson will coach the TDFL while the Hume league is finalising its appointment.
Richardson said there was no bigger rivalry in district football.
“I think there is always a bit of extra spice in these games,” he said.
“They are both proud competitions and I hope players from both leagues support the game.”
The leagues will play senior, under 15 and 18 football matches and open, under 15 and 17 netball games on May 13.
Officials are also looking at playing a youth girls match on the day.
“There has always been a healthy rivalry between the leagues,” Hume league president Merv Wegener said.
“Besides the last time we played, the games are usually fairly even.”
