The league leaders posted 9-273, before claiming an opposition scalp to leave the visitors 1-7 heading into next weekend.
Colts’ skipper Kent Braden said after winning a few games early in the season, it’s been his side’s aim to remain undefeated on top.
“We’ve put ourselves in a good position and hopefully we get the result next week, so all things are looking good heading towards finals,” Braden said.
“No-one went on to get a really big score, but to get 270 as a team and have everyone get a little tune-up before finals was exactly what we were after.
“Saturday was as good a day of cricket as we’ve had all year.
“Finishing top gives you a second chance and at least one home final, so it’s a huge advantage.”
Hayden Murray top scored for the competition favourites with 54 after being asked to open the batting, following a shoulder injury to Ollie Willett in the warm-up.
Corowa posted a competitive total of 192 and struck early to have Yarrawonga-Mulwala 1-24 at stumps.
Rovers United-Bruck grinded its way to 9-208 to put the pressure on Wangaratta Magpies next week.
Ovens Valley United was bowled out for 155, but bowled well to send Delatite into next weekend at 4-69, while Beechworth were bundled out for just 60 runs by Benalla Bushrangers, but hit back to leave their opponent reeling at 7-29.
