Albury’s Mike Hamilton, who was part of Australia’s T20 Blind Cricket World Cup squad in India, said playing alongside his ACT teammates against Cricket Albury Wodonga club New City at Urana Road Oval on Sunday was fun and a great promotion for the sport.

“We don’t really get too many games and it’s always good against New City, they’re always keen to come out and have a hit,” the Blind Cricket Australia director said. “It’s a bit of a social outing and a bit of fun as well.
“We’ve had a young guy with the same condition as me come along and have a go, which is fantastic because he didn’t know there’s a game for him to play out there.”
Hamilton has congenital nystagmus and is legally blind, with 10 per cent vision.
