Local rivals Josh Antone on his Blacklocks Motorcycles-backed Honda CRF450 and Chris Seaton on his Whitehouse Motorcycles Yamaha YZ450F shone on the night, but they were not alone at the pointy end of the talent-packed rider line-up.
Locals Mark Jones, Timmy McGregor and Jay Hearn also performed well, mixing things up to make Antone and Seaton earn every point towards the final standings of the three-round series.
It wasn’t only the locals they had to worry about either.
Brad Burns and Bryce Holmes, both of the Harley Club of Victoria, also added valuable points to their campaigns and will be hoping for better results in the next two rounds in their Pro 450 and Pro Open classes.
Burns, the current Victorian Pro 250 champion, was unbeaten in his Pro 250 races and will take a comfortable lead into round two.
The junior classes were also alive with talent, including locals Archie McDonald and Remmie Fyffe.
Competing in the 65cc and 85cc classes, the boys are well on their way to an impressive and successful 2017 season.
Other notable mentions were Albury Wodonga MCC member Jock Rogers, unbeaten in his Junior 125/250 class and the Harley Club of Victoria’s Hannah Burns, Brad’s wife, who was also unbeaten in the Pro Open women’s class.
