Once again we have seen the Young Achiever finalists come from diverse sporting backgrounds

Lachie Spinelli (softball), Tanisha and Ebony Devlin (boxing), Stephanie Gorman (basketball), Jeremy Bahr (hockey umpire), Liam Wiscombe (rugby league), Alyce Parker (Australian Rules), Declan Campion (athletics), Nakita Singe (netball), Brooke Dickie (water polo) and Maddison Baird (cricket) will contest the award.
“Once again we have seen the Young Achiever finalists come from diverse sporting backgrounds ranging from water polo, cricket, softball, boxing, Australian rules, hockey umpiring through to netball and more,” Sport Albury-Wodonga president Rob McDonald said.
The winner, who is judged on their sporting achievements over the past 12 months, will receive financial assistance from Norske Skog.
The awards night will be held in the Commercial Club auditorium.
Corowa shooter James Willett, who narrowly missed a medal representing Australia at the Olympic Games, won last year’s award.
