Ramage, who is originally from Violet Town, was appointed following the resignation of Andrea Jacques late last year.
He has lived in Wangaratta for the past five years and spent two seasons on the Magpies’ board.
Ramage has a strong background in the agricultural industry, with 35 years farming experience and over 20 years as a consultant to corporate and production farming across south-eastern Australia.
“I’m really excited to join the O and M,” Ramage said.
“The opportunity to work with the clubs and ensure the competition retains its relevance into the future is what’s driven me.”
League general manager Sean Barrett said Ramage would be a major asset.
“Jamie brings a wealth of experience, both professionally and through his extensive involvement with local sport in the region,” Barrett said.
