London born Siem is one of the world’s most promising young musicians and is looking forward to his Australian tour, which begins on March 24 and comes to the Albury Entertainment Centre on Saturday, March 25.
“I am so excited to meet my fans and share some very special music with them,” Siem told Fairfax Media.
“I have always been fascinated to visit Australia, especially the regional areas as I have heard the nature is overwhelming and the people are especially warm and down to earth.”
He studied the violin at the Royal College of Music with Itzhak Rashkovsky, and later with Shlomo Mintz, while attending Eton College and Cambridge University.
The classically-trained musician also works with many of the world’s finest orchestras, such as The Royal, the Moscow and the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestras, and conductors including Charles Dutoit, Edward Gardner, Yannick Nézet-Séguin, Sir Roger Norrington, Libor Pesěk and Yuri Simonov.
Often credited with bridging the worlds of classical music, pop culture and style, Siem has performed onstage with stars such as The Who, Bryan Adams and Jamie Cullen, while winning a unique fan base including Lady Gaga, Katy Perry and Karl Lagerfeld.
His dapper, elegant style and on-stage performances not only impressed Lagerfeld, but caught the attention of the wider fashion world.
He has modeled for Dior, Hugo Boss, Giorgio Armani and Dunhill while in 2014 Vanity Fair named him one of the world’s best dressed musicians.
“It has been a lot of fun and given me a certain amount of exposure whose glamour can help to entice new audiences to my concerts hopefully,” he says.
