It’s sudden-death for East, which finished fifth on the ladder.
“I just said to the boys last night we’ve got to play a boring brand of cricket,” he said.
“North Albury will back themselves to make a big score, whether they’re 0-150 or 5-10, the game plan won’t change, that’s how they play.
“We have to bowl as many good balls and maidens as we can.”
It’s been a remarkable transformation after posting only two wins last year.
“This year was more about development for us and I think externally we probably exceeded expectations,” Weeding said.
The match could well depend on how North’s dangerous line-up, including Ash Borella, handles paceman Cameron White.
“Since Christmas, he’s been on fire, just looking at the results,” North coach Brendan Simmons said.
