NSW Roads and Maritime Services said steel piers had been installed to strengthen the bridge's structure to ensure its safety.
The Towong Cup promises to be a cracker, and to help celebrate 146 years of racing organisers have plenty of attractions.
A special marquee will offer free hair, beauty and nail makeovers and the first 200 women arriving will get a free glass of champagne.
With fashions on the field, live music, jumping castles and face painting for the children, organisers say it’s a day not to be missed.
Gates to the racecourse will open at 11am
