Overseen by TV personality and Design School founder Jenna Densten, the Certificate IV in Interior Decoration (MSF 40113) will be delivered by local designer Natalie Baker over 11 to 13 months, starting March 23.
“This course is great for home renovators who want to make the most of their biggest investment, and is also fantastic for business use such as real estate agents, retail shop owners, photographers and those wanting to work in the interiors industry,” said Natalie.
She runs her design business 'Ruby & Soul' within the Albury Wodonga area, specialising in residential and commercial design from concept to project management
“I’m really excited to be able to share my passion through a series of design workshops and courses, including the Certificate IV in Interior Decoration through mp personnel and training.”
Graduates from the first course held on the border last year, Hayley Foots and Jorja Duncan, said the Design School course has made huge impacts on their professional careers.
“Design School was a fantastic adventure for me,” said Jorja, who owns Sparrow Photography. “Going into it I was just looking at a creative outlet as I had always been interested in interior design and styling. I went in with an open mind and desire to learn. I couldn't imagine coming out of design school gaining as much knowledge and access to the industry as I have. I worked hard to build foundations with my teacher Jenna and made sure I was open to help and learn from her where I could.
“The course structure was easy to manage and follow - even with already running a full time business in Sparrow Photography. I now have started a second side business called Sparrow Creative where I still work closely with the design school and industry, photographing interiors, assisting with on shoot styling and product styling for location businesses.”
Hayley Foots returned to the industry after a five year break and bringing two daughters into the world.
“After my break I was ready to get back to work. Interiors had always been of particular interest to me so it was an easy decision. I enrolled in Design School and considered the different avenues I could take within the design industry,” she said.
“With a background in real estate, it felt natural for me to go down the path of property styling. Armed with a bucket full of enthusiasm and the support of my family my business The Inspired Space was born. A year on, we are the largest property styling company in the region.”
The course will be delivered in Wodonga from 9am - 3.30pm Thursdays.
