Dilhara Lokuhettige will look to potentially finish his career with Tallangatta, where he lives with his wife and three children.
“I thought it was the right thing to do because it is a good place to live as a family and it’s good for the kids as well,” he said.
“I hope to come back next September, and I’m going to apply for permanent resident and after that I want to play for Tallangatta for two or three years.”

The fast bowling all-rounder played seven games and took 10 wickets at 16.80, along with 67 runs at 33.50.
But his season ended when he dislocated his right ankle during an overseas tournament.
“My injury is getting better now and after another two months, I can give a good comeback,” he said.
The 36-year-old played nine ODI’s and two T20’s.
“Dilhara’s been coaching juniors, the under 16s, and that’s definitely something we expect from our overseas guys … and he’s been fantastic with that,” Bushies’ coach Matt Armstrong said.
