A peaceful protest from the Border’s strongest voices for action on the environment will send a message to Westpac that even people outside of Queensland do not want the bank to lend money for the Carmichael coal mine.

Wodonga and Albury Towards Climate Health and the Albury Greens will be among those wearing red to protest outside the Albury Westpac branch from 1pm Friday.

They have argued dredging and coal dust will cause massive damage to the Great Barrier Reef.
