Featonby’s Drapac Pat’s Veg team also won the overall teams classification, while teammate Nicholas Katsonis took out the general classification by 34 seconds in a time of 4:01.23.
“It was a great weekend for the team because we won everything,” he said.
“Because we had a strong team, we could play all the tactics into our hands.
“The last day had a hilltop finish up Mount Buller and we were able to put four guys in a breakaway to hold on for the overall victory.”
The event was perfect preparation for the team’s next major race at the week-long Tour of Thailand.
Featonby flies out next Thursday and knows it will be a huge challenge in tough conditions.
“The first two days are 200 kilometres and I’ve never raced that far, so it’s going to be a massive shock,” he said.
