The Power has played in more grand finals in the last 12 years than any other team, but was on the wrong end of many of them before going back-to-back in 2011-12 and 2012-13.
Mount Beauty captain Alistair Randell missed the 2011-12 premiership due to injury, but was quick to dismiss any thoughts of a hoodoo.
“We’re not frightened of grand finals or anything like that,” Randell said.
“Two of those were weather-affected and we were the lower ranked side.
“I don’t think we’ve got anyone who hasn’t played in at least one grand final.
“They’re hard to win, but I don’t think it hurts to have plenty of grand final and big game experience.”
The Hawks also boast plenty of experience, with seven of its starting side playing in the last two grand finals.
