Cavanough, who is relocating to Scone in coming weeks after 12 years in Albury, won his fifth successive Flat Knacker with the five-year-old.
Apprentice Chelsea MacFarlane took the initiative in the cup day dash by jumping to the lead and firstly seeing off the challenge from She Zar and then the fast-finishing favourite Vinnie Vega.
"Chelsea wanted to go to the fence and wanted to lead,” Cavanough said.
"We knew Luke Pepper's horse (She Zar) had a heap of pace, but our horse was rock hard and decided to take it on.
"Ten out of 10 to Chelsea.”
Cavanough revealed he was trying to recruit MacFarlane to his soon to be established Scone operation where he could have up to 70 horses stable.
"I reckon she is a really good jockey and she would be a real asset to the stable,” Cavanough said.
MacFarlane is presently based at Queanbeyan and regularly rides for the Cavanough stable.
Just A Bullet, who was bred at Corowa by Len Rhodes, took his prizemoney beyond the $150,000 mark with victory in the Flat Knacker.
The gelding finished third first-up on Corowa Cup day earlier this month after previously racing in Queensland.
Cavanough’s previous Flat Knacker victories include back-to-back wins by Corsica Lad the previous two years, The Monstar and Bossdon City.
