The white Nissan Pulsar with Queensland registration plates was first spotted at 8.42am entering the Moorefield Park Drive/Melbourne Road roundabout in the wrong direction.
Sergeant Tim Mooney, of Wodonga, said the car, driven by a man known to police, then continued east along Melbourne Road on the wrong side before entering Melrose Drive in the wrong direction.
“There were quite a few cars on the road at the time and vehicles had to swerve to avoid it,” he said.
“Anybody who observed this and may have some dash cam footage, I’d be interested in speaking to them.”
Minutes later police received complaints about the car on Bandiana Link Road heading towards Albury.
“The vehicle was then involved in similar driving in NSW,” Sergeant Mooney said.
The sergeant said this type of driving placed other road users in danger.
“The roads were starting to get busy; the behaviour of the driver was disgusting,” he said.
Any witnesses should contact Wodonga police on (02) 6049 2600.
