At just 15 years of age, Alex Race-Stelling flew through the eight-kilometre course in 29 minutes and 29 seconds.
The Beechworth product went one better than his runner-up finish at the event in 2016 and shaved 80 seconds off his best time of 30 minutes and 49 seconds.
Albury’s Gary Luck finished second in a time of 30 minutes and 26 seconds, from Mick Evans in third in 30 minutes and 31 seconds.
Holly Steers was the first female competitor past the post after 34 minutes and 20 seconds.
She held off Gabby Bartel who crossed the line second in 34 minutes and 59 seconds, while Kaitlyn Regan came third in a time of a 35 minutes and 15 seconds.
Wodonga Athletic Club president Bill Pearce was pleased with the always popular event which had 92 finishers this year.
“The club is quite happy with the result and the support from the public on this one,” Pearce said.
