The Panthers were humbled for 90.
“It’s been a bit of a bugbear all year,” Lavington coach Robbie Mackinlay said.
“We’ve already got Matthew Tom who’s come over from Lake Albert and hopefully Andrew Taylor is back in the region.
“If he’s going to play cricket, he’ll play at Lavington.”
Taylor hit an unbeaten 74 in Lavington’s last premiership against St Patrick’s in 2012-13.
Both players are left-handed batsmen.
Too much was left to former Canberra left-hander Matt Sharp through much of the season.
“A few of our players were just a bit out of form,” Mackinlay said.
“We’ve just got to keep developing what we’ve got there, there’s been some encouraging signs.
“We beat Belvoir and Wodonga in finals, we’ve chased runs.”
