Rouse was injured during the club’s final practice match against Wangaratta Rovers at the weekend and is in a moon boot.
The injury has opened the door for former Raider utility Dean Heta to make a cameo appearance against Albury at Albury Sportsground on Saturday.
Heta has signed with Bacchus Marsh, but the reigning Ballarat league premier’s season doesn’t start until April 23.
He played a half for the Raiders against Wangaratta Rovers at the weekend for fitness.
Thankfully it’s not the big bone in his shin. It's a smaller one. He just took a mark and got landed on.
- Daryn Cresswell
“Jordan’s going to be out for two to six weeks,” Cresswell said.
“Thankfully it’s not the big bone in his shin, it’s a smaller one.
“He just took a mark and got landed on.
“Dean Heta might play now that Jordan is injured.
“We have spoken about it and it’s something we are considering against Albury on Saturday and another round early in the season.”
Wodonga Raiders are desperately short for height with Zach Rouse and Josh McKay shaping as the front-runners to take on Albury big-man Ben Dower at the centre bounces.
The Tigers are waiting on a clearance for Yackandandah ruckman Ollie McEwan.
He is contracted with the TDFL club and has had one clearance rejected.
Meanwhile, former Raiders excitement machine Ross Tungatalum has signed with Central Murray club Tooleybuc-Manangatang.
