‘Kick for Nick’ competitions will be held at half-time of matches hosted by Jindera, Murray Magpies, Brock-Burrum, Rand-Walbundrie-Walla and Osborne.
It will involve adults and children attempting to kick a football into a tractor tyre from 40m and 20m respectively.
Purple socks will be worn by Jindera’s netballers with 250 pairs available for $10 at Jindera.
All Ovens and Murray games will run tins and buckets.
“It’s been fantastic the way clubs throughout the region have come together to support Nick,” Jindera president Andy Stuart said.
“I think it will be a really successful day.”
Dempsey broke his neck in a diving accident on his 21st birthday with the talented sportsman later being diagnosed with C4 quadriplegia.
