In a sign of the Pigeons’ depth, Marcus McMillan, Tim Cooper and Brandon Symes will play the early game, as well as best and fairest in the 2014 grand final, Connor Hargreaves.
“He missed a couple of practice games, so he’s just working his way back into it, like a few of the other guys,” co-coach Chris Kennedy said.
“Tim Cooper and Brandon Symes have been busy on the farm, while Marcus has a growing business.
“We’ve been playing guys in the best form at the time.”
Former North Melbourne player Justin Perkins is unavailable with a family wedding.
However, the Pigeons will welcome back Brad O’Connor, after he kicked eight in the reserves last week, while best and fairest Logan Morey also returns.
North impressed in toppling the Roos by 55 points in the first round.
