THIEVES are suspected to have stolen a car in Culcairn and driven it through Albury before torching it near the Hume Weir wall.

A white Mazda 6 was set alight at roughly 7 o’clock on Friday morning in the car park on the Victorian end of the spillway.
Detective Leading Senior Constable Andrew Leonard said police had been called to attend a fire at the base of the weir wall.
“We believe the vehicle was stolen from Culcairn,” he said.
“Police were called to a fire at the base of the weir wall.
“Further investigations are pending.
“We're investigating links to a number of driving incidents throughout Albury last night.”
The blaze destroyed the sedan, with the flames melting parts of the car's alloy wheels.
Cardboard alcohol packaging could been seen on the ground near the wreckage.
The number plates had been removed from the car before it was set alight and destroyed.
