A man has died following a single-vehicle crash in Wangaratta South last week.

A silver 2005 Holden sedan was travelling west on Snow Road about 5.15pm on April 12 when it continued through the intersection of Glenrowan Road.

The car then hit a tree and overturned, trapping the man.

The driver, a 69-year-old Mount Beauty man, who was the sole occupant of the car, was taken to hospital but died on April 15.

Emergency crews from CFA, SES, police had worked together to free the driver of the vehicle.

A report is being prepared for the coroner.
