Despite fielding one of the youngest teams in the AWFA senior women’s competition, St Pats know they have nothing to lose against the league leaders on Sunday.
“It will definitely be our biggest test this year,” St Pats’ Josh O’Farrell said.
“We had Boomers the other week and I think we played okay, we missed a few chances in the first half and it probably cost us the game.
“We were very competitive last year in the first final against them (Albury City), so hopefully we can bring that same sort of game and push them for the 90 minutes.”
City’s Brogan Broadway said the Easter break hasn’t harmed any of the momentum the side has created, but admits it won’t be any easier against St Pats.
“We’ve actually pegged it as our toughest game so far this season,” she said.
“They’ve shown in the past they can challenge us, so we’re not taking anything for granted.”
