After a tight 1-0 loss to Wombats in the season opener and a 1-1 draw with Magpies prior to Easter, the side is desperate to find more goal-scoring options against CR United on Sunday.
Falcons have undergone a massive transformation from last season, with John Jewel stepping back for a well-earned break after a long reign as coach.
Jason Russell has returned to the side and taken over the top job.
“This year will be one for us to rebuild and start a fresh with veterans like Mat Evans and myself along with returning up and coming players Harrison North and Zac Gregory,” Russell said.
“It should give us a good foundation to build and make some progression, with many players also stepping up from our division two side.
“James Nelson and James Martin will be players to watch, having smooth skills and excellent ability to score.”
On the other hand, the Falcons’ division one women have made a flying start with two solid wins and hope to roll on against CR United.
From all reports, they have put together a balanced team with strong defence and creative attackers, who are keen to learn and gain positive results from effort and teamwork.
In the remaining games, Norths face Wodonga, while Wombats meet Magpies.
