Five reasons why Albury is better than Wagga as talk of commuter rail service heats up

Talk of an Albury to Wagga commuter rail service has sparked plenty of discussion between the towns this week. We’re big fans of the concept, mainly because it gives the good folk of Wagga an opportunity to spend more time in the premier regional city in NSW, which is, of course, Albury. Here’s a list of reasons why:

We’re spoilt for choice when it comes to waterways on the Border. Whether you want a dip in the Murray River at Noreuil Park or prefer the wide open expanses of Lake Hume, you’re on a winner. And if you’re not a swimmer but prefer fishing, you’re in luck, they’re perfect for that too. Up north they’ve got “Wagga Beach” but we’re not sure how much of a “beach” it can be when you’re almost 400km from the sea.
