Yarrawonga will host Wangaratta at JC Lowe Oval in the final match of the Anzac Day split round.
“It’s going to be a big showdown and obviously they’re not too far away the two towns,” O and M general manager Sean Barrett said.
“I’m sure the locals will be keen to get out and support their team doing well… and I’m sure there will be a lot driving across from Albury-Wodonga.”
Yarrawonga has one of the league’s strongest support bases, while Wangaratta has attracted four-figure crowds for its two night games.
Poor crowd numbers have received criticism in recent years, so the league will never have a better opportunity to pounce.
And it’s also shaping as an exciting game in netball.
The early forecast is for a sunny 18 degrees.
