Raiders boast just the one win after three rounds and, while Cresswell says it's not the end of the season if they fall, he knows a 50-50 split is important heading into the weekend off.
"We need to be two and two," he said.
"Wodonga's already had two wins, to a lesser extent the pressure's not so much on them as it is us.
"In saying that, if we did happen to lose, it's not the end of the world.
"Last year we were one and three, and everyone was saying Raiders can't make finals, and we were five points from a prelim."
The prospect of heavy rain only threatens to add more pressure on Raiders’ small side.
“Obviously with the rain around we know they’re a tough, hard side, we know that if we don’t match them inside, we could be chasing, so we’ve got to make sure we bring our attitude and we bring our effort,” Cresswell said.
Raiders have received a major boost though, naming classy youngster Matt Neagle and representative midfielder Steve Jolliffe.
Jolliffe suffered a lower leg injury when he was twisted awkwardly early against Myrtleford on April 8.
He courageously returned to the field to help out his young team-mates.
Jolliffe trained on Saturday and was wearing a moon boot the following day as a precautionary measure.
However, Cresswell says he doesn’t need a scan and will definitely play at Birallee Park.
However, fellow star Jydon Neagle is no certainty with a shoulder complaint.
“If he doesn’t come up, we won’t take any risks either,” Cresswell said.
Teenager Hayden Clarke, son of Raiders’ premiership player Stephen, could debut.
The teams will wear jumpers with the ANZAC Appeal logo.
“We’ve planned a nice ceremony to honour the moment,” Raiders’ president Gary Knight said.
And Raiders have plenty of shelter for the eagerly-anticipated ANZAC Day clash.
“The local RSL tries to be a community RSL,” Wodonga RSL president Kevyn Williams said.
The senior football and A grade netball starts at 3.10pm and 2.15 respectively.
