Nothing was left on the field during the contest, with several moments sparking plenty of push and shove.
Albury co-coach Shaun Daly said there was always going to be a bit of sting in the game.
“No matter what position or what the score is, we go hard at each other,” Daly said.
“It’s the greatest day of the year playing against our arch rivals North Albury.
“In the end, we respect each other for it, but every time we play on Anzac Day against North it’s always a tough one.”
Daly admitted it’s a game he always looks forward to.
“We’re very lucky to be able to play on Anzac Day, a lot of the teams don’t,” he said.
“Even though the weather wasn’t great early, we’re very fortunate to be able to play on a great day for the country.”
