March called off due to weather

AS rain bucketed down throughout the Riverina some organisers of Anzac Day services were forced to call off marches. The planned march at Henty was cancelled and about 200 people packed the town’s Civic Centre for the service. Earlier in the morning about 100 people gathered at The Rock and braved the rain to pay their respects. Major James Van Strijp gave the address at The Rock and said there was no glory in war, yet circumstances could bind people together to form lifelong bonds.
