Hotham and Falls Creek residents woke to a white blanketing this morning due to a cold front that is moving through our region until Friday. Overnight temperatures dipped to their lowest of the year (-4 with windchill minus 13) and currently, it’s -3 degrees and still snowing.

As autumn turns to winter, this is the second significant snow fall on the Victorian Alps this month, with the first on April 9.
At Mount Hotham, the snow starting falling yesterday with a total of 15cm overnight and today it’s snowing lightly a further 4 to 5cm.
Over at Falls Creek, snow began to fall again around 8am this morning with up to 10cm covering the mountain.
Jo Prothero of Falls Creek Resort said: “It's great to see another snow fall in the lead up to winter. Everyone gets excited. We're gearing up and getting everything ready for a great snow season this year.”
