The couple run more than 100 head in their herd and offer a stud service as well as selling animals as sheep flock minders, pets and to other breeders.
Mr Horn said the day was about inviting people to learn more about the animals in a hands-on way.
“People can just come in and have a look and can talk about alpacas, what they do and what they don’t do,” Mr Horn said.
The open day runs from 10am to 4pm and will feature alpaca fleece spinning and weaving demonstrations and will have displays of regional produce such as honey and nuts on site. Visit amistadal pacas.com for details.
