The Pies have been the surprise of the first three rounds, toppling grand finalists Lavington in the season-opener before beating Wangaratta Rovers and Wodonga Raiders.
Quite remarkably, it will be Wangaratta’s first game in 15 days, in the battle of the unbeaten teams.
“It’s got no real relevance to the finals series, it’s still 16 weeks away,” Stone said.
“The importance is to be able to show our group and demonstrate how they can compete against the good sides.
“We know that if we get everything right that we’ve tried to implement at the start of the year, we’re going to be a very big show to come away with the points.”
The Pies boast the league’s most exciting forward combination, but Michael Newton is unavailable, allowing the Pigeons to focus more on Josh Porter.
