The party's federal electoral district council held its second attempt at an annual meeting on Friday night when all executive positions including president were contested.
Mr Corboy said the Nationals were well placed to make an even stronger presence at the next federal election with himself potentially the candidate again.
"With every position being contested it proves not only to me, but also to the public that people do consider the Nationals as a very viable option for the next federal election," he said.
"It's something I will consider, but it is a long way off at the moment.
"In the meantime we've got to hold the current member (Cathy McGowan) accountable and promote decentralisation."
Mr Corboy was previously the FEDC chairman before standing aside when pre-selected as the Nationals' candidate for last year's federal election.
Mr Gaffney, who has occupied the role since the election, has raised concerns about the conduct of the meeting.
"The Indi annual meeting was held in February and the party board of management decided a second agm should be held," he said.
"There were a number of people at that second meeting who were not known to me.
"I have requested to appear before the party board of management of which Marty Corboy is a member."
The state councillor position won by Peter Micallef over Craig Cross was the only other position which didn't require a coin toss to decide the successful contender.
The remaining positions of vice-president (Simon Williamson), secretary (Jill McGillivray) and treasurer (Mr Cross) were dead-locked at 20-all from the 40 eligible voters on the night.
"It was absolutely amazing," Mr Corboy said.
"All positions are filled and it will be a great team."
