The ex-Gold Coast under 20 front-rower destroyed the visitors, particularly in the first half, as the Blues scored a 28-22 win.
“He scored one, had a hand in the two other tries in the first half, and off-loaded all the time,” Thunder president Rick O’Connell said.
“He will certainly take a power of stopping.”
The home scored three tries to grab a 16-six break at half-time.
The Blues added another, before the Thunder cut the margin to six.
However, the visitors never grabbed the lead, although they had two late chances to potentially equalise.
“I thought Dave Cowhan never stopped trying, Andrew Smith was good, while Shannon Rupapere and Jye Thompson also played well,” O’Connell said.
The Thunder will return home for the first time in a month when it hosts Cootamundra on Sunday.
