King rolled his ankle late in the first half of the club’s 28-22 away loss to Tumut.
“It got worse and worse at half-time,” he said.
“I tried re-strapping it but because the adrenaline was wearing off, I couldn’t really run on it or put pressure on it.”
King says the forward pack was disappointed with its effort against Blues’ powerhouse Dan Kilian.
“We were a bit lazy, we didn’t get up in his face and show him that we were there to play,” King said.
“He’s got a bit of a motor on him, he picked out the smaller blokes in the team and played a bit smarter than us.
“We should have done that to them, but we didn’t.”
King also said it was a slow-tempo game, which didn’t suit the Thunder.
The Thunder is now fifth, but should consolidate against the winless Bulldogs.
