A Lavington woman will front court next week after being charged with failing to provide for her four-month-old baby son.

The 22-year-old woman was arrested on Tuesday after police were called to her home.
When police arrived at the Lavington home about 11.45pm on Saturday, March 4, they were so concerned for the well-being of the baby they immediately called NSW Ambulance paramedics.
The baby, who police will allege the child was seriously malnourished and suffering from neglect, was admitted to Albury hospital.
The woman, who has been charged with fail to provide for child/cause danger of death, will front Albury court on Monday, May 15 after detectives attached to the State Crime Command’s Child Abuse Squad Albury initiated an investigation.
A 17-month-old boy and a seven-year-old girl, who were also at the home, are being cared for by the Department of Family and Community Services.
