The Real Estate Institute of NSW Novice Auctioneer Competition will be held at the Albury Club, Kiewa Street, from 5.30pm.
Albury division chair Greg Wood, of Wood Real Estate, said to be eligible entrants must have conducted fewer than six auctions in the last six months or no more than 10 public auctions overall.
The three competitors, Clark Watson (Zelle), Brent Booker (Stanley and Martin) and Kaly Smith (KS Property Solutions), will auction a range of items.
Mr Wood said any potential candidates could still contact him to join the event.
The judging panel, which includes Albury-Wodonga agents Brian Phegan and Geoff Stean and Real Estate Institute’s Bob Dury, will assess presentation and engagement with the audience.
Mr Watson and Mr Booker said the competition offered a chance to develop their auctioneer skills.
“I think it’s really good fun and a public auction’s obviously a fantastic way to get publicity and drum up interest in any house,” Mr Watson said.
