The conditions allowed the flights to leave each morning from Albury Sportsground and land on the same Barnawartha property. Balloons also lit up QEII Square on Friday evening as the festival’s opening reception took place nearby.
Organiser Jan Gouma said about 30 passengers, including people with disabilities, enjoyed the weekend flights by Global Ballooning.
“It was such a lovely feeling and so many people from the public saw the balloons and came along,” she said.
“It was a great community effort, which is what the NDIS is about, community participation and about inclusion and it certainly was demonstrated.”
