Despite suffering multiple double-digit losses in the last month, the performance of imports Toccara Ross and Adijat Adams has remained consistent.
Wilson said it was only a matter of time before the likes of Mel Kirby, Steph Gorman and Emma Mahady were able to reach a similar level of consistency.
“We’ve just got to continue developing our local players – we’re fielding a lot of under-16 and under-18 rep players,” he said.
“Our imports have been giving us good numbers, but instead of having two players scoring in the high teens, we want to have five or more players scoring 10 or so.
“We’ve had some 20-point losses, but in my opinion those would have blown out to 40 or more in years gone by.”
The Lady Bandits face the Canberra Capitals Academy on Saturday afternoon.
