The Bulldogs last defeated their rivals in round 16, 2014, and it looked like the run of outs would continue at quarter-time when the visitors led by 10 points.
But Kerry Bahr’s line-up turned the match in the second term with six goals to two with ruckman Tim Darcy leading the way.
He fed running players Ryan Speed, Will King and Hayden Hamilton which presented chances for young forward Dylan Pettingill.
Pettingill kicked four goals and is shaping as one of the recruits of the season after crossing from Lavington’s thirds.
Brock-Burrum, who went into the clash without Justin Koschitzke, Luke McLellan and Jarrod Hillary, only managed three goals after half-time.
To compound their problems, coach Kade Stevens was reported in the final term.
Bahr said Jindera had set itself for a big performance.
“We haven’t beaten them for a while and the club set itself for a big day,” Bahr said.
“I thought we had a slow start and once the heat died out of the game a little bit we were able to get our running game going and run and spread.
“The young blokes got on their bikes and we took it from there.
“It was a good win, but we have another really big one against Osborne next week.
“They are always hard to beat.”
Luke Brauer tried to lift Brock-Burrum with some good play in tight while Stevens, Tyson Bradsworth and Nico Sedgwick also played well.
Youngster Aidan Johnson made an impressive debut for the Saints.
CDHBU broke their losing run with a hard-fought 13-point win over Rand-Walbundrie-Walla at Rand.
The Power’s defence was again miserly with Andrew Ollington and Tim Cooper linking up well with Jeremy Stevenson and Nathan Rhodes in the midfield.
Justin Gordon and Brendan Simmons were best for the Giants with support from Ryan Lavery.
Osborne scored a surprisingly comfortable 36-point win over Henty at Osborne.
The Cats made it six in a row despite a strong performance in defence from Swampie Josh Gaynor.
Holbrook’s Andrew Mackinlay kicked seven goals in the Brookers’ big win over Billabong Crows at Holbrook.
Brad Carman and Josh Jones also won plenty of the ball for the home side.
Culcairn accounted for Lockhart by 53 points with Tim Hallinan and Joel Merkel among the best players.
