Row upon row of soldiers marched along Dean Street and High Street in separate ceremonies to exercise their freedom of entry to each Murray River city.
Wodonga mayor Anna Speedie said the Army Logistics Training Centre had been granted freedom of entry to her city in 2001 and Saturday marked the first time it had been exercised since 2007.
“The army plays a huge role in our community, with both individuals and families forming an integral part of our social fabric,” Cr Speedie said.
The army band from Kapooka joined in and also participated in 150th celebrations for the Albury City Band on Saturday.
