An Albury man driving a silver Holden commodore was travelling south on Waugh Road when he collided with a Toyota van just before 1pm.
Albury Inspector Scott Russell said the 38-year-old had attempted to turn down Logan Road when his car collided with a Toyota van.
“The commodore has turned at the traffic rights at Logan Road to travel west and collided at the intersection with a vehicle travelling north on Waugh Road,” he said.
Inspector Russell said both drivers were uninjured but two passengers in the Holden commodore had to be taken to hospital.
“Those male passengers were both conveyed to Albury hospital,” he said.
“One has been treated for sternum injuries and the other for abdominal injuries and those injuries are non-life threatening at this point.”
A resident who lived on Logan Road said he heard a loud bang and rushed out to see two men lying on the ground.
The front-seat passenger side of the Holden commodore was caved in.
Inspector Russell said no charges had been laid at this stage.
“Our inquiries are continuing … alcohol was not a factor,” he said.
“We would suspect the Holden commodore driver was at fault.”
