Cancer charity match inspired by former coach Karl Jacka stuns Rutherglen football club organisers

Karl Jacka would have been proud of his Rutherglen Cats on Saturday – both on and off the field. With his charges registering an impressive victory against Wahgunyah, the Cats scored an even bigger win on the sidelines, raising an amazing $90,000 for the Albury Wodonga Regional Cancer Centre. Rutherglen’s Dale Lumby, armed with a GoPro, captured a bird’s eye view of the Cats’ big day. On the ground, Border Mail photographer was there to see local business owner Ricky Hiskins have his hair and beard shaved off, raising $8000 along the way.
