Winemakers of Rutherglen executive officer Natalie Ajay said they reached record breaking ticket sales in the first weeks of sales for the festival on June 10 and 11.
“Sunday tickets sold out in a matter of weeks, which was remarkable,” Ms Ajay said.
“We still have five weeks of ticket sales remaining, and we’re anticipating steady ticket sales during this period to see this year’s Winery Walkabout become the biggest and best one yet.”
Ms Ajay said tickets could only be bought online and recommended festival-goers booked their tickets soon.
She said all regional and shuttle bus tickets had sold out, as well as weekend and Sunday general admission tickets.
“The only remaining ticket type available is Saturday general admission,” Ms Ajay said.
Rutherglen’s 19 participating wineries will offer live music, markets, breakfasts and VIP lounges.
