The Savoys have been a league and cup threat for a number of years and certainly won’t be out of the mix again this season.
Last year’s Star Player Matt Park showed why he’s among the best handful of players in the league, with five goals against the Devils.
Myrtleford co-coach Jayden Vescio knew it was going to take Park some time to find his feet, but has been pleased with his recent form.
“Matt obviously broke his ankle in the quarter final last year and done a hamstring early days in one of our trips to Melbourne for the FFA Cup,” Vescio said.
“He didn’t do much of a pre-season because of injury, but now he’s got a big block under his belt, which has been good.
“He wasn’t outstanding, he scored five goals, but he was in the right place at the right time.”
