Fraser has been battling pain in both elbows for almost three months and admits he may have to be “smarter moving forward”.
Incredibly, Fraser returned from a long layoff last week to finish fifth in the Rocco Forte Open in Sicily.
I’ll be 39 in just over a month and I’ve got to start thinking about how much longer I can do this.
- Marcus Fraser
“I wasn’t really too sure what was going to happen last week – I had almost two and a half months off,” Fraser said.
“I had tennis elbow in both.
“I’ve been trying to get that sorted out (and) I had some cortisone just before I left to try to calm it down and get back to playing.
“I’ll be 39 in just over a month and I’ve got to start thinking about how much longer I can do this – every year’s pretty important when you get to this age – and I’ve got to be smarter moving forward.”
Fraser is presently playing in the European Tour’s flagship BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth, England.
His reached a career-high world ranking of 51 in 2013 and returned to No.56 last year.
