Jackson blamed a poor preparation for last weekend’s loss to Kangaroos and said it had been addressed at training this week.
“We went in with the wrong attitude against Kangaroos thinking it would be an easy win,” Jackson said.
“We can’t afford to do that, especially against a side like Southcity.
“We have to come to the game with the right mindset and play every game like it’s our last.”
While Thunder will regain David Cowhan from a knee injury, Andrew Smith has succumbed to a rib injury.
Southcity has regained star playmaker Nathan Rose but lost Pani Manawatu due to a wedding.
“It’s going to be a tough game as they are strong across the park,” he said.
“We will have to muscle up and grind it out and see which way it goes.”
